- Foundation of MicroCoat Biochemische Produkte GmbH, specialized in the production of rare chemicals for In Vitro Diagnostics.

- Certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001.
- 1998
- Company moves from Penzberg to a newly-built facility in Bernried, 45 km south of Munich, Germany.

- Dr. Günter Müller is appointed to the management.

- MicroCoat Biotechnologie GmbH is founded by merger of MicroCoat Beschichtungstechnik J.Maier OHG and MicroCoat Biochemische Produkte GmbH.
