AGE-CML ELISA
(for the quantitative detection of Advanced Glycation Endproducts)
Advanced Glycation Endproducts (AGE) are formed by the non-enzymatic reaction of reducing sugars with amino acids or proteins (Maillard reaction products) . The AGE-CML ELISA from MicroCoat is used for the quantitative in vitro determination of Carboxy-Methyl Lysine (CML) from clinical samples or foodstuffs. The AGE-CML assay is a competitive ELISA format based on a CML-specific monoclonal antibody and a glycated and biotinylated BSA coated to a streptavidin microplate. The AGE-CML ELISA has been developed and optimized for human serum, plasma and urine measurement. Other sample materials, like food samples can also be analyzed. The determined level of CML corresponds to the level of advanced glycation endproducts in a sample.
