Microcoat announces the 6th Monocyte-Activation Test Proficiency Test Program

MAT Proficiency Test Program

We offer quality assurance to laboratories working with Monocyte Activation Test (MAT). Based on our expertise we provide frequently audits of MAT test proficiency. Our Proficiency Test Program (PTP) confidentially verifies working procedures, method and report validation, identifies trends and potential demands for training. This supplies additional value to internal quality assurance.

Benefits

Check and validate analysis techniques
Verify conformity of procedures to requirements of the Pharmacopoeia
Control and correct possible drift in procedural compliance
Verify laboratory’s ability to recover correct level of contamination
Compare results to those of other laboratories and other MAT methods

1 Step 1

9th MAT Proficiency Test Program (PTP) Request Form

After successful registration for the 9th PTP trial, one blind, contaminated sample will be sent to you.

After submitting the results to ptp@microcoat.de, the final report will be distributed by Email.

Time Line
· Registration: 15.09.2023 to 31.10.2023
· Sample distribution: 01.11.2023 to 01.12.2023
· Provision of results: until 28.02.2024
· Distribution of final report: until 31.03.2024

30 years Microcoat

The time has come! Microcoat turns 30 years old. Exactly on 15.04.2022 30 years ago we, the company Microcoat Biotechnologie GmbH, were founded. At that time Microcoat was still considered a spin-off of Boehringer Mannheim GmbH with the focus on the main technology of coating microtiter plates. Today we are a medium-sized company with more than 230 employees and four buildings. In the future, we will remain strong-willed and continue to develop and improve.

Donation handover Ahrtal

In order to help as much as possible with the terrible disaster in Ahr valley last year we are delighted to actively support the residents and help with a donation of 10,000 Euros. The mayor of Dernau „Alfred Sebastian“ received the donation with pleasure. The nearly 1800 inhabitants have made every effort to repair the damage and give their all to rebuild the village. But the material damage, which runs into the billions, cannot be easily repaired. Therefore, every help and donation is essential for the continued existence of the small village of Dernau. It is an honor for us to support the further process of Dernau with this donation.

We are back!

We are back!

After more than 1.5 years, Microcoat participated in two job events, on October 5th in Penzberg, Germany and on October 14th in Peißenberg, Germany.

Both events took place as face-to-face events, taking into account the 3G regulation and with a limited number of visitors.

First of all, we talked to many students, their parents and teachers about our training opportunities as biology laboratory technicians and office management assistants. In addition, our trainee gave a great presentation about her training at Microcoat.

In the evening, after a short break, our HR-team welcomed all interested visitors to talk to them about job opportunities and vacancies at Microcoat.

We thank you for your interest and for the informative discussions. It was a pleasure to see and talk to everyone after the long time of online job events.

With the „Bavaria’s Best 50“ competition, the Bavarian State Ministry honors particularly high-growth medium-sized companies each year that have been able to increase the number of their employees and their sales above average in recent years.

In 2021, Microcoat is one of the award winners. At the award ceremony in munich in early October, our Managing Director Dr. Johannes Reich accepted the prize, which was handovered by Prof. Dr. Edenhofer and State Secretary Roland Weigert.

New trainees in September 2021

In September 2021 three new trainees started their apprenticeship at Microcoat Biotechnologie GmbH in Bernried. In addition to the training of biological laboratory technicians, Microcoat also offers training in office management assistants. During the training period, the trainees pass through various departments within the company getting know all departmental processes.

For our rapid growing company, which now has more than 200 employees, training young people has become an important process for our company. „Our goal is, to offer good training and personal development for each individual trainee. We want to retain our skilled workers after their training and can demonstrate an excellent takeover rate,“ said Managing Director Dr. Johannes Reich, who welcomed the new trainees and wished them a good start.
